A lot of writers do write very clean first drafts. I know some authors who publish their first draft, though I would never do that myself.
I plan, write, and do a comprehensive edit of a book in a month. Anywhere from 70,000-150,000 words. But I still do at least two more rounds of edits on it, send it off to my editor for around of edits, and send it to my ARC team to read before publication. I usually leave 6-8 months between first draft and publication, but for those months I am writing new books as well as doing the second, third, and possibly fourth edit. (So I have 6-8 books in various stages at a time.)
But it isn't everyone's jam. And it generally takes time to build up to the point where you can complete a really good first draft in a short period time.
