A pseudonym doesn't have to be a secret. If you are just using it to separate your genres, or because someone else is already writing under your preferred name, etc. then there is no need for secrecy.

Generally, the people I know who find it necessary to keep their pen names secret have other issues not mentioned here.

- they work in a profession that will not allow them to publish under their own name

- they are trying to avoid stalkers, bullies, or ex-spouses
