Ah, very interesting to read your "system" post. So you do use Reminders and Calendar as well. I know some people who just use Obsidian, but I certainly wouldn't be able to do that in my current set-up. Like using pliers to screw in a screw.

Since I first wrote my comment (I know it shows up as being a post from yesterday, but it was actually made some time ago, I just corrected a typo yesterday) I have actually started using Obsidian as a planner as well, in a similar way to what you are doing. I am using the Periodic plug-in and have my yearly/monthly/weekly high-level plans in Obsidian, but still use my calendar for events, time blocking, and tracking promotions/campaigns, and Todoist for project management.

I am a hybrid paper/digital user. I like to be able to have my yearly/monthly/weekly plan in my paper planner on the desk in front of me (always-on, no internet distractions, easy to flip through whether my app is hung up, I am in a meeting, or on the phone, etc.) Those plans are easy to get from my Obsidian vault to my paper planner. I just use Pandoc to generate a docx file, select my planner page size and reduce percentage and print onto planner page.

I write my daily plan by hand (appointments from my calendar on the left and priority tasks from my weekly plan on the right.) On Sunday, those get scanned into my computer and dropped into my daily notes in Obsidian.

Yes, I'm addicted to Obsidian and how flexible it is!
