I am reading Freezer I’ll Shoot, the third book in Victoria Hamilton’s Vintage Kitchen Mystery series, and it is a great cozy mystery. I have read one other book (book 1, actually) in Victoria Hamilton’s Vintage Kitchen Mystery Book series (currently a 10-book series) and found it quite enjoyable.
I have not yet hit the murder, though it has been set up and I’m sure will be discovered before the day is done. Hamilton’s writing is delightful and this book has everything you need in a cozy mystery series — an isolated holiday location, vintage recipes, a three-legged dog, and a nasty character who is destined for trouble. Jaymie Leighton, the protagonist, also has an interesting mother and relationships to contend with, adding a bit more flavor to the mix.
