It didn’t crystallize until now what problems I have with the Eisenhower matrix.

For me, it is a way to help assign priorities or time slots for my tasks, but “not important” does not mean that it is something I can get away with not doing, or that I shouldn’t do. Just that they are not as important as the most important items on my list.

Urgent and not important does not mean I can delegate it to someone else. As a solopreneur , I don’t have anyone to delegate to. No coworkers, no minions, no VA. Those things still have to be done. And those household things and helping out family members. There may not be important to my business or individually important, but are necessary for daily living and relationships.

And those things they are less important, but not urgent don’t get deleted from my list. If I am not committed to then, I will delete, but otherwise, there are still plenty of less important and less urgent tasks that are still required to keep my life and my business running.

If there is only one level of importance (because anything less important is delegated or deleted) , then everything I’d important and the exercise is useless. If there is only one priority level, there is no priority level.
