Or maybe a test designed to measure divergent thinking in the 50s simply isn't a good test of anything in today's world. Maybe there are some biases built into the system.

There are so many books being written, music being written and performed, inventions being patented, problems being solved, etc. I don't see a reduction in creativity, I see an explosion.

The tools that technology puts into our hands and our children's hands are so different from the bricks, cans, pen and paper that Torrance used, they could be from an alien world. Digital Print on Demand, global web stores, 3D printers, computers you hold in the palm of your hand, the ability to broadcast around the world, to search for solutions with a few keystrokes, etc. don't take our creativity away, they give us a way to implement it.
