I hope you enjoyed my birthday last week! Some of the books in my birthday blog post will still be on sale, so head over and grab them while you can.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme. Read the rules and more teasers at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along.

If you’re looking for suspense, check out Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams. Protagonist Lena Nguyen is looking for answers in the death of her twin sister. She suspects police corporal Raycevic of being complicit in her death — even being the direct cause of it.

And there is definitely something going on with Raycevic. He is not all he seems to be. He is hiding some pretty big secrets and I’m not convinced that a single word that comes out of his mouth is the truth. Lena has her work cut out for her in sorting it all out.

I don’t think I’ve read anything else by Taylor Adams. I only see a couple of other books on Amazon. But I would definitely check out others.

Don’t get comfortable. Don’t let your guard down.
Not even for a second.

Taylor Adams, Hairpin Bridge

Three months ago, Lena Nguyen’s estranged twin sister, Cambry, drove to a remote bridge seventy miles outside of Missoula, Montana, and jumped two hundred feet to her death. At least, that is the official police version.
