Yes, I've used a number of different task managers over the years, always because the ones I was using weren't working for me. Maybe because they didn't sync properly across platforms, duplicating or losing tasks. Or because they lacked the fields I needed to track my tasks or didn't allow me to break down projects.

I tried so many times to use Microsoft's various offerings of Outlook tasks, Tasks, To Do, Projects, etc. We were using Microsoft Office, so it made sense to use Microsoft, right? But MS doesn't even sync with itself.

I am really happy with Todoist. It works well with the way that I work/think/plan. And hopefully, I'll be sticking with it for a long time!

ETA: one of the best things about Todoist, other than the ability to quickly file new tasks by context, project, and date, is the ability to import templates of tasks. I have a book writing/publishing template that is almost 100 tasks long, and I can add it to a new book project almost instantly.

I love the ability to create tasks from emails or webpages, and to add multiple comments and attachments to each task, but the import template is what makes it gold in my book.
